Hallelujah! I have made it out of the house

This morning, we walked to a cafe.

We had a coffee (decaf of course, no overstimulated babies please).

We read the paper (well the first four pages).

Then we walked home. Briskly, before all hell broke loose.

The whole excursion took one and a half hours and the babies slept through the whole thing.

Nothing to it, this parenting business

Well done! We tend to go out somewhere every day - in fact, it feels strange when we don't! Miss C loves it and especially loves when strangers come a make a fuss of her.

But that's just one baby... muchos kudos to you for managing your first outing with two!

that's very impressive...you must be recovering well. There's nothing except Diana inquest after page five of the newspaper anyway.

What BEAUTIFUL babies!!! Congratulations(!), you guys are amazing getting out and about so soon...
How cute do those huge nappies look on their tiny little bodies!!! And soon they will out grow them!
The nappies must nearly take up their whole body.

opps I meant the cloth nappies must nearly take up their whole body....

Yes all the one-size-fits-all cloth nappies we bought are WAY too big for them - we have them in Huggies until they grow big enough to fit in the nappies...

Gotta love that 'one size fits all' sizing system! My work is with cloth nappies etc and I always tell the clients how funny newborns look in a nappy that fits my 3.5yo! Flannel squares are good when they get bigger in a few weeks. But for now, adjusting to all the new things motherhood brings is enough! As with everything disposables do have their place!

Oh dear. Sorry about the cafe comments on my blog. Take your children wherever you want.
