Are they eating sultanas yet? You can buy a lot of time with a small container of sultanas. I seem to recall once buying a whole interview with a box of sultanas.
No sultanas - still mush. I could possibly achieve the same result with a few sheets of paper, although paper is quite noisy as it's chewed.
