Two people asked me today if I was pregnant again.
Don't they know not to ask that unless they are absolutely, positively sure?

Why do people do that? It's on a par with someone saying "That's a nice crop of pimples you're cultivating".
Yes or when they say, 'oh you've had your hair cut' and leave it at that, while I wait into the lengthening silence for them to add, 'It looks really good'.
Some people are clueless...
The same thing happened to a friend of mine, and she was absolutely gutted. When she'd got over it though she hired a personal stylist for a session who cleaned out her wardrobe, went shopping with her etc, and my friend said it was the best money she ever spent. She now sees the stylist twice a year (winter and summer) and is finally happy with her clothes / body. I'm NOT suggestiogn at ALL that you need a stylist - you alwaysd dress very well! - but it's an example of how something upsetting can be turned around into a positive. But I agree 100% with Jahteh and e,m; why don't people just think a little before they speak?
